  • Dr. Eric
    Dr. Eric Franson

Dr. Eric Franson was born and raised in New England and at a very young age, began working with animals at his local veterinary hospital down the road from his childhood home.  He continued to grow his passion for helping animals while studying at the University of New Hampshire where he graduated with his Bachelors in Animal Science.

He continued on to Veterinary school abroad and graduated from St. George's University in 2009. After living and studying in the Caribbean, he returned home to New England to start his career as veterinarian working at the same local veterinary hospital from his childhood. Practicing in this close-knit, rural community, he quickly learned that being a great veterinarian is more than just having medical and surgical proficiency, but also working closely with, and teaching, pet owners. This initial experience taught him what kind of practitioner he wanted to become.

Dr Franson’s career spans 15 years of general practice medicine as well as working in emergency care at multiple New England animal clinics.

He currently lives in Massachusetts with his family and three guinea pigs. Outside of work, Dr. Franson enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

We are excited to have Dr. Franson join our team!

His enthusiasm for the job, his compassion for animals, and his ability to teach and educate their owners mirror the qualities we look for in all our team members. When you speak with “Dr. Eric” you will know immediately how much he loves being a Veterinarian.

These duties include client communication, purchasing, inventory, compliance, HR, IT, maintenance, accounting, bookkeeping, etc. Occasionally, he fills in as a (very junior) vet tech when needed.

When not working, Michael enjoys spending time at home with his family. He can often be found in the kitchen preparing dinner, relaxing by the pool, or in his office preparing for his Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification.

In his spare time, Michael has a variety of hobbies. He has had a love for languages since he was inspired by his high school Latin teacher. He is conversational in Russian, but also spends time learning Spanish, Portuguese, and Ukrainian. A student of martial arts over the years, he currently practices medieval fencing with his son.
