  • Michael
    Michael O'Connell

Michael O'Connell studied Computer Science at Ithaca College before a successful 25-year career in software engineering and management. He left the software industry in 2023 to join his wife, Dr. Karen Patti, at her practice, Artemis Veterinary.

As a veterinary practice manager, Michael performs a variety of duties ranging from the mundane to the monumental. These duties include client communication, purchasing, inventory, compliance, HR, IT, maintenance, accounting, bookkeeping, etc. Occasionally, he fills in as a (very junior) vet tech when needed.

When not working, Michael enjoys spending time at home with his family. He can often be found in the kitchen preparing dinner, relaxing by the pool (weather permitting), or in his office either preparing for his Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification, or more often playing games.
