Routine Wellness & Vaccines

Your pets need regular wellness exams to ensure there are no health issues. From specialized and preventive care when they are young to regular wellness checks as they age, our goal is to find and prevent problems before they arise. Wellness exams allow us to establish a baseline in your pet’s health and make us aware of any changes that may indicate future problems.

We highly recommend scheduling regular exams for your pets. Often times health problems go undetected and can become more serious issues when left untreated. Even if your pet appears healthy, make sure they have their regular checkup.

Importance of Regular Checkups!

Preventive medicine is the best approach to keeping your pets healthy. This includes annual wellness examinations, vaccinations, external and internal parasite prevention and dietary management.

Why does my pet need vaccinations?

Vaccinations are vital to the health and protection of your pet. They are a preventive measure in combating infectious diseases like Parvovirus, Parainfluenza virus, Distemper, Lyme Disease, Panleukopenia, Feline Leukemia Virus and Rabies.

Vaccinations are particularly important for puppies, kittens and other young animals that have immature immune systems. Veterinary vaccinations generally begin at 6-8 weeks of age and then boosted throughout your pet’s life depending on the vaccine.
